To do this one, you need to live somewhere with public transportation. Or you could go somewhere with public transportation. You don't have to go there permanently, just a visit will do. The idea is simple: spice up your normal route by hopping on some form of public transportation then running, biking, or whatever-ing back home. Here in Boise, we have bus stops. If the bus stop is too far from your house, you could also drive to somewhere near a bus stop then work your way back to where you parked. It really is a great way to see something new and maybe even experience the thrill of route-finding.
